Tandem duo Fraser Maitland and Natalie Jamison were in action this weekend at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. They were taking part in the Scottish National Madison Championship, consisting of a flying 200m race and a 1 kilometre time trial. The pair were using a Scottish cycling tandem which was slightly different to the machine the pair we were used to, but it did not stop them. In the Flying 200m race Fraser and Natalie achieved a new personal best of 13.73 seconds. They were both delighted with the result and hoped to continue the success in the 1 kilometer time trial, however it was not meant to be. They attacked the gruelling four laps and crossed the line in an impressive 1 minute and 26.06 seconds. Not a personal best but still a good time with room for improvement. Another great day out for Fullarton Wheelers and enough for the tandem pair to earn a second place. Image (c)PressRoom2017.
