Riders Mikey Allen and Allie Kinnaird were the Fullarton Wheeler's ambassadors at Sunday’s Etap Loch Ness. This is a hugely popular 65 mile sportive event which takes part on closed roads. It usually sells out in the space of 24 hours as thousands of riders look to take part, some attempting to post a fast time over a challenging course, others wanting to soak up the atmosphere and the stunning Highland scenery. Neither Allen or Kinnaird spotted the Loch Ness Monster but the hill at Fort Augustus was certainly a beast. It takes nearly five miles to reach 400 meters in height, with the gradient hitting 12% at points. Sportive's are not races, but the two Fullarton riders completed the route in just over three hours. A rapid time which certainly deserved a medal.
