Fullarton Wheelers’ Winter League

Postby Guy_Walker » Sun 19 Nov, 2017 8:34 pm

The newly upgraded FWCC indoor training facility has been put to immediate, and intensive, use in this year’s Winter League. Two events have been completed so far. This week it was Event 2. It took place on a simulated five mile stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway which, according to one rider, is a bit like the undulating road between the A77 and Tarbolton, except for the weather. The outright winner of Event 2 was Howie Christie, with Natalie Hunter taking the prize for fastest female. After two events the winter league is headed by none other than Derek Skinner, the Club’s esteemed chairman who is literally leading from the front. So far the winter league is proving to be extremely competitive with the male and female races both hotly contested.
