Ayrshire Alps Sportive

Postby Guy_Walker » Sat 02 Sep, 2017 7:44 pm

Nearly 30 Fullarton riders took part in the Ayrshire Alps sportive organised by our friends at Ayr Burners Cycling. The Ayrshire Alps is a special road cycling park with nine Alps of varying difficulty, all set in stunning scenery and with quiet roads. The annual sportive is becoming very popular and it was great to have a large FWCC contingent. The main sportive route took in five challenging climbs, including the infamous Nic O'Balloch, for a total distance of 100km and over 4000 feet of ascent. A very challenging route but an excellent and well organised event.
