Loch Tay Away Day TRAVEL ARRANGMENTS

Post by Richard Sykes » Sat 06 Aug, 2011 6:56 am

Hi Guys
We plan to meet at Gordons house at 7.45/7.50 for an 8.00am start, this should get us to killin just before 10.00,the route will take approx 3.5 to 4 hours to complete dependent on stops so we look to arrive back at killin around 3.00 pm for the journey back to Kilwinning, arriving back at Gordons around 5.00pm,the weather on the forcast looks as if Perthshire misses the bad weather Ayrshire is expected to get !!! so hopfully it should be a good day............

Cheers Sykes :D

Hi Sykes,

What forecast are you looking at? The Met Office have been warning rain for a couple of days now with a little bit of uncertainty of the exact location but it's becoming increasingly certain there'll be a soaking where we are going.... and no very warm either! Summers back!

I'm not keen on going out in the pissing rain... big, softy, fairweather cyclist that I am!

Any other thoughts on this? Is there a plan B? There might be a better area of the country to go.... Norfolk, Kent!

Maybe we can keep an eye on the forecast and confirm later?

Cheers, Mr Wimpy Fairweather Graham.
