Re: Graeme Obree at Battle Mountain

Graeme is up to 51mph as of today after changing his gearing slightly. Reports that he suffered a crash today, he's OK not sure about Beastie but I'm sure he'll be back on the road soon.

In action.

Graeme Obree at Battle Mountain

Just wanted to wish our very own Graeme Obree the best of luck for his assault on the Human Powered land speed record! It currently stands at 82.819 mph and Graeme is travelling to the USA next week with his hand built bike 'Beastie' in the hope that he can break the 83 mph barrier! God speed Graeme...

Re: Puncture Issue

Tyre pressure seems to be one of these areas to do with bike setup that is keenly discussed. As Kev says it's very much a personal preference. I do the same and drop the pressures by about 10 psi if it's wet. I used to run much lower pressures 90-100 but had a run of punctures. At that point I thoug...

Re: Puncture Issue

Have you checked the rim tape/spokes etc on the wheels? Just for info I run 120 in the rear and 110 on the front with no issues. Maybe you're just having a run of bad luck......

Re: FWCC Marymass 10TT - Results Sheet

That's some improvements guys, well done.

Gordon, looking at the pictures from the 25, your position on the bike with the extensions looks excellent!

Re: Fullarton Race Results

Thanks for the advice Gordon, will definitely try that when it happens again. A 19 would be smashing! Was looking at the average speeds from yesterday. For me to win yesterday I only have to find 3.5mph average extra over the 10 miles. Much easier writing that on here than actually putting it into p...

Re: Fullarton Race Results

Close but no cigar with my time Gordon! I did 22:18. As you will know those 3 seconds are all important! Definitely too humid for me, really struggled with the breathing yesterday and ended up with a bad stitch for about 6 miles. I think the standard these days is to post any race results in the pre...
